Peer Education & Course Development
After a detailed needs analysis process with a number of core studios, our team identified a real need for a peer education program. I spearheaded the end-to-end design and launch of an instructor-led version of the program to almost 50 participants in the span of 2 months. At the conclusion of the first group, a continued need for this to scale company-wide was identified. This led to another project that I led end-to-end design and launch for to provide a peer education program in eLearning form that could spread to over a dozen studios and business units within the employer’s development ecosystem.
As you can see from the eLearning, which can be launched below, the eLearning focuses on key frameworks and best practices for teaching in a unique adult learning setting. Internally named "The Armageddon Problem" -- do you teach astronauts to mine or miners to become astronauts? -- this course was created to empower developers with the power to identify audiences, create relevant and useful learning content, and walk away with a tangible result from the course.
